Simple
present progressive is formed by adding the present
participle of the main verb to the simple present of the verb BE.
Once again, the verb WALK will serve as our
model :

The simple present progressive /
continuous is used to describe an activity is in
progress, the action happening at the moment of speaking or around the
moment of speaking.
Example :
a)
Rachel and Crystal are classmate.
They are discussing their presentation. I can hear them right now.
2)
It is also describe a temporary action that is happening at certain
period of time.
Example :
a)
I am working in Sabah this month.
b)
She is speaking English right now.
3)
When something is happening at this moment, the action has started but hasn’t
finished.
Example :
a)
It is raining at the moment.
b)
The movie is showing, so please be
quiet.
4)
Repeated action which
are irritating to the speaker with (always, constantly, forever).
Example :
a)
They are constantly complaining.
b)
Harry and Sally are always arguing!
5)
Fixed plans in
the near future.
Example :
a)
We are going to Seremban on Sunday.
b)
I am meeting my friends tonight.
